Super Mega Baseball 3 and its release date is now rescheduled for May 13
Come to the plate
Super Mega Baseball 3 does not launch this month, and its release date is now rescheduled for May 13 (via USGamer.net).
The pandemic affected industries around the world, and developers and publishers had to respond to the unexpected results of temporary work practices. Metalhead Software has coped with these changes and now claims that the aftermath of the coronavirus crisis has delayed Super Mega Baseball.
But this is not bad news, of course. The new release date means that the team has more time to understand everything before its official launch, and flexibility allows employees to put themselves and their families ahead of the project. This last point is very appropriate, because everyone experiences a pandemic in different ways.
In any case, Metalhead Software managed to crack free patches after launch, such as the Team Import tool for Super Mega Baseball 2 players. Super Mega Baseball 3 will include detachment mechanics to stop opponents on their tracks, and pitchers will show passes and wild fields. Situational traits affect the performance of players positively or negatively, but only at unique moments in the match. This aims to offer much more dynamic games than in its predecessor, and more comprehensive management will give players much more independence on the “field”.
